I am a middle school student that goes to Tarkanian Middle School , Las Vegas. I just came here from out of the country. Why is there no rock band clubs or electives in las vegas middle schools? In the Philippines there is always one. I believe that if there are Rock Bands and other casual electives students would enjoy school. Imagine, if students were to be taught to play in a Rock Band. Most would be interested and they would stop bad habits (drugs, etc.). Students should also have CONCERTS not conciertos where old people sit and clap. It should be CONCERTS , where most students attend and have fun. Schools here must balance having fun and learning. And by having fun I mean , ROCK BANDS not MARCHIN BANDS or geeky ORCHESTRAS. There should even be Taekwondo and Tennis courses. Please express your opinion. . .

Totally agree with you. Unfortunately, we live in a rap world. Where doing drugs is cool and if your pants don’t hang low you are picked on. If they are really trying to keep kids off the street they should electives they request. For rappers they can even do a sort of freestyle class I guess, but instead of talking about women talking about the things they see or about what they feel.
