Question by B: Are pharmacy technician schools worth the money are what is required to become a pharmacy technician in Nevada?
This school has a pharmacy tech program for like 14k I don’t want to waste money if its not necessary Are these schools worth the money. What does a state like Nevada require to work in a pharmacy does anyone know a better route to go through to become a pharmacy tech I don’t really make a lot of money and don’t want to have to have this debt. So can anyone explain what license or requirements are needed for this and a good route to take I live in Nevada thank you

Whether schooling is worth the money in pharmacy tech depends on your state requirements although 14K is WAY too much to pay no matter what state you live in.

For Nevada, you can be either a pharmacy tech trainee or a pharmacy tech. Here are the requirements for both types.

Pharmaceutical Technician Trainee:
1.18 years of age or older
2.High school graduate or equivalent
3.Not have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor that involves moral turpitude, dishonesty or the unlawful possession, sale or use of drugs
4.Have no history of drug abuse
5.Register with the Board: fill out application and pay registration fee
