MDR-TB: Senzo’s Story

MDR-TB: Senzo’s Story – In Swaziland, seven-year-old Senzo has been on treatment for multi drug-resistant tuberculosis for several months. This includes daily injections and 14 pills per day. He has 19 more months of treatment to go. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is currently treating 26 children with drug-resistant TB in Swaziland. Since November 2007, almost 300 patients have been enrolled into DR-TB treatment in Shiselweni.
