Question by Ducktor Who: Does anybody know about adoption laws in Nevada? ( Long but true story )?
My nephew and niece were removed from my brothers care by CPS in Reno Nevada last January 2013 and placed with my mother and father until my brother was able to get his crap together and be a responsible father and he was doing very well. He had completed all of his court appointed rehab, he had moved to a different city ( with courts approval ) so he could start new and avoid his stupid drug friends, he was working hard at a new job and the kids were healthy, well taken care of and happy with grandma and grandpa when out of the blue they decided the kids needed to be in foster care so they took them from my parents in October 2013 and placed into foster care and nobody has been able to find out anything about them since. CPS will not answer any questions at all. My parents and brother were never given a court date and CPS has refused to return any calls their attorney has placed to them. Well they got confirmation this afternoon that CPS went behind their backs and as well the attorneys and separated the kids and adopted them out. My family is freaking out about this, we are pissed and hurting terribly. I was just asked by my dad if I can find out if there is anything they can do or is it too late? I think the CPS and the judge and any attorney that helped need to be prosecuted but that will never happen. This all happened in Reno Nevada. Is there anything that can be done?

And a heads up to the people who will inevitably decide to say something stupid, like CPS only takes kids when they need too and your parents probably deserved it, you can kiss my ass and your thoughts and opinions don’t matter.

Hire an attorney. Sounds like you need serious help. And quickly.
